Project 300 Team

 Who are we ?

In 2009 James completed his training as a teacher. Driven by the desire to help others James and Cherry would often take part in small projects to help those with educational needs, providing school uniforms, books etc as required.

In 2011 James moved to a transport company at the Andover CDC site and soon shared his passion for helping the children of the Philippines. This culminated in 2012 with a vist to Cebu by James and Tim. The initial plan was to help two schools by providing computers. By the end of the visit James had committed to providing  300 computers to cover the 43 public funded schools there and also to help a local free school for special needs children. Project 300 was formed.

On return to Andover, James and Tim met with the General Manager of the transport company. This meeting confirmed the project as a cause that the transport company sites across the UK could happily support. Project 300 Team now has the backing of 20 such sites across the UK and is currently working with the CO-OP supermarket chain to use the shops as drop off points for donations of equipment.

The team is five strong at this point and is currently looking for volunteers to support collecting items, cleaning items, packing items and getting the gear ready for shipment.

The forthcoming year will see us focus our work on delivering computers into the Philippines for the poorest schools around. Your donations will help the children who have nothing to access the world of the internet. Giving them skills and experience in the much needed area of IT. 

Nothing will be wasted.

We accept donations of books, paper, pens etc that will be packed alongside the computers and will increase the benefits we offer each school.
